Diver training with CMAS (World Underwater Federation) and the ANMP (Association Nationale des Moniteurs de Plongee)

The Diamond Diving instructor team are also qualified in the French system. We deliver certifications up to Niveau 3 and can also help prepare and coach candidates considering presenting themselves for a Niveau 4 exam. These are double sided certification cards giving you both you French level and the equivalent CMAS qualification, recognized in CMAS member countries including French territories.

The Niveau 1 is the first diving qualification in France. It is done over six boat dives, and with this qualification you can dive with a guide to a maximum depth of twenty metres. Theory is done over one lesson and during the course of the six dives giving you the basic essentials to be a safe diver under the supervision of a qualified guide or instructor

We offer the Niveau 2 over twelve dives, and once qualified you have the right to dive autonomously to twenty metres under the supervision of a CMAS ** Instructor as “Directeur de Plongee”. You may also dive with a guide to a maximum depth of forty metres. Theory knowledge is controlled by a written exam and the practical emphasis of this course is preparing you to be a truly autonomous diver : assisted ascents, reaction to problems, dive planning and briefing, surface marker buoy deployment and underwater navigation all feature heavily.

The Niveau 3 (autonomy to sixty metres) and preparation for the Niveau 4 are also possible out of high season i.e. not between mid June and mid September. Please e-mail us for further details.
