eLearning is an extremely user friendly online multi-media resource that enables student divers to cover the necessary theory sections of the Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Nitrox courses in their own time, wherever they are, as long as they have good internet access.
The resource uses video, images, animation, narrative and immediate feedback on quizzes to guide you through the theory in a highly interactive and rewarding manner.
What are the advantages?
The main plus points are the choice to go at your own pace and the possibility to start interacting immediately with your Instructor team at Diamond Diving. In the eLearning "virtual classroom" we can offer advice on equipment purchases and dive travel, respond directly to your questions, and keep you updated with our latest news.
For many of you suffering from increased time pressure in everyday life this is a perfect solution to making learning the theory part of diving as easy, convenient and fun as possible. ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.
We can then focus on what is important for you as a student diver on holiday. That is applying what you have learnt online to maximise the quality of in-water holiday time and the wonderful weather, surroundings and diving conditions on the Cote d’Azur.
How does it work?
You pay a one off payment of 120 US Dollars to PADI to access the Open Water or Advanced Open Water online resource for a year. The price for the Nitrox online resource is 195 US Dollars.
How does it effect course pricing?
As a further incentive for you to choose us for your in-water training us, we will knock 50% of your eLearning fee off the price of the course you choose upon reservation.
The normal price for the Open Water course inclusive of everything is €475 or £425. If you choose eLearning with us the price is €425 or £395 (includes logbook and "How to Use and Choose a Dive Computer Manual").
The Advanced Course becomes €275 or £250 instead of €365 or £330 (current options online are Deep, UW Navigation (compulsory) and Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck, Boat and UW Naturalist.
The Nitrox Specialty becomes €110 or £100 instead of €265 or £240 (please note this includes two dives and two Nitrox fills)
What about a permanent reference for the future when my access to eLearning elapses?
As previously stated we still include in our Open Water Diver course price the manual "How to Use and Choose a Dive Computer" and a logbook to record your diver training. You may choose to purchase the RDP and an Open Water manual from us for £25 or €30
For the Advanced course there is an option to buy the Advanced Open Water Manual for £30 or €35.
You can buy a complete set of the PADI Nitrox (RDP EAN32 & EAN36 plus O2 exposure) tables from us for £25 or €30.
