An excellent and thorough entry level diver qualification

In 2010 we will be running Learn to Dive week holiday packages in Antibes/Juan Les Pins, in addition to the course being on offer throughout the entire season. The PADI Open Water Diver rating is the most recognized diver qualification in the world. An excellent and comprehensive course, our goal is that when you have finished the course you will be a competent, confident, safe and above all happy diver. The course is divided into three modules:

Confined Water

Conducted at the wonderful location of a beach on the Cap D’Antibes, you will learn over a number of sessions all of the skills necessary to keep you safe underwater.

Theory

The theory can now be completed with us in one of two ways.

We are massive fans of PADI eLearning! To read about the advantages of eLearning please click on the image below:

The less preferred option is to post a study kit to you prior to your holiday. You will read the manual and/or watch the DVD and subsequently complete the five knowledge reviews. When you arrive these will be corrected, with supplementary information and practical applications expanded on by your instructor. When you are ready you will undertake four revision quizzes and then the final exam. This is multiple choice with a pass mark of 75%.

Open Water

In this section of the course you get on with the real business of diving proper, with four boat dives. We will repeat a number of the skills from Confined Water, introduce a couple of new ones, and above all concentrate on significant improvements in your buoyancy and breathing.
