A diving holiday with Diamond Diving offers dives around the French Riviera with small personal groups to ensure every client is taken care of in a more personal way. Here on this site you can find out more about what we have to offer.
The quality of the diving on your diving holiday is exceptional. As most of our dives take place around the South of France we are in areas with fairly warm waters. On certain occasions we have had visibility of thirty to forty metres so if you have dived in british waters you will be amazed by the distance you can sea. If we can only see fifteen metres then we would definitely consider it a bad dive.
The temperature of the waters on your diving holiday would at the coldest be thirteen degrees and that is in the middle of winter. With these temperatures you can usually get away with wearing semi dry gear. In November of last year the waters were still at twenty two degrees.
John Young is retired and ex-military with a home (water based!) in St Raphaël. He is a former British Telecom engineer and also managed a six year telecommunications project across Europe (maintenance of a fibre optic cable), looking after a team of 23 engineers across France, Northern Italy, Switzerland, Southern Germany, Holland and Belgium. John will be responsible for logistics of the diving holidays that we run.
Minimum age 12. Two dives on your diving holiday aimed at a thorough familiarisation and introduction to the safety, specific techniques and maintenance required of dry suit diving, prefaced by a confined water training session. Call us to discuss but we suggest that the confined water orientation is conducted at your local dive centre before the trip. Only recommended for the winter months.
We are well aware of the challenges of completing Open Water training in UK waters, particularly at certain times of the year. There is an option to complete confined water training and theory sessions with a PADI Centre here and then complete your course over a diving holiday with us. There are a number of advantages to this including less stressful training conditions, warmer water and arguably more stuff to see.
