“Alex is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, flexible and worked hard giving his time, including evenings, to fit in with our wishes. We enjoyed excellent diving which surpassed our expectations, the highlight being La Gabiniere which was an absolutely fantastic dive and extremely rich in life. Alex is also a good diver who inspired confidence in sites unknown to us.”

“I would like to thank you for providing the Microsoft Dive Club with an excellent trip this year. We arrived at the airport to be met and taken to a beautiful rustic hotel. Hotel Alexandra in Juan Les Pins is in a good position with very friendly staff and some of the best local cuisine we tasted. The diving that you provided was very good, being a short boat trip from the dive centre and in warm clear waters. We were particularly impressed with having a 3 hour lunch break! Overall it was a very relaxing weekend with an experience of traditional French diving and cuisine.”

“For this year’s club trip over the August Bank holiday weekend, we decided to go to the South of France (makes a change to the North Sea!). Alex Diamond arranged all the accommodation and transfers from Nice airport and everything worked well, despite people arriving into different terminals and a baby in the group! The accommodation was clean and within walking distance of the marina area which has lots of restaurants for evening meals. On the diving side, the boats were busy but seemed to be well-organised, especially after the Sunday dive when bread, pâté and local rosé was offered in lieu of the English cuppa! It was interesting diving on WWII wrecks in clear water, with congers and morays hiding in the nooks and crevices. The wreck of the Rubis (submarine) was particularly enjoyable as it sits intact on the seabed at 40m+ in clear blue water. There were varieties of nudibranchs and smaller marine life which appealed to certain members, and enough wrecks to satisfy others. On the whole, everyone enjoyed their French trip and we are thinking of exploring Diamond Diving’s other dive base off Porquerolles in the near future.”

“Many thanks for all the hospitality on Sunday. We all enjoyed the diving and the lads who did their DSD's are now thinking of doing their OW!! The dive sites that were chosen for Sunday were fantastic and I could not believe that diving in the South of France was that good”
