PADI Course Director Alex Diamond, focused on quality training and customer service. Bilingual French/English. 

I’ve been a full time professional in the diving industry since 2004.  Having become a PADI Instructor in 2003 with Red Sea Diving College in Sharm El Shiekh, my start in France was with Club Sous L’Eau and Philippe Cerdan in St Raphaël in 2004.  Another new PADI Instructor with very little experience. Over the next two years I passed a succession of courses in the French system (N4, Initiateur, MF1, Tronc Commun etc) culminating in obtaining the Brevet d’Etat in 2006.

Diamond Diving was born in 2006 and for three years I was a freelance Instructor and diving tour leader between Nice, Juan Les Pins, St Raphaël, Ste Maxime and La Londe Les Maures.  I provided a complete service to groups of UK divers including diving, training courses, accommodation and airport transfers.  I partnered with multiple dive centres and accommodation providers.  This was a great way to observe and understand different ways of organising diving from a logistical and commercial point of view.

Aferwards Noémie joined me and we started a PADI dive centre in Golfe Juan in 2009 which became a 5* Instructor Development Centre in 2012.  I closed the centre at the end of the 2022 season; and am now very happy to dedicate my time exclusively to quality training and customer service.

As a PADI Course Director since 2012, I can run all of my courses, but particularly Pro level in French and English, customising the level and quantity of either language according to the wishes of my Instructor candidates.

When I dive for fun I enjoy wrecks, more challenging dives and Underwater Photography.  From a professional point of view I enjoy teaching children and also accompanying and coaching Dive Master and Instructor candidates.  I’m a big fan of sport in general and can often be found cycling round the Cap d’Antibes in the off season.  Music, playing the guitar, cinema and reading are among many other ares of interest.
